"Macoun Leaf Shawl"

My new design of triangular and asymmetrical shawl has been published!

Dark red yarn with a touch of purple works to create a shawl that’s reminiscent of the skin of a fresh, Macoun apple. Complete with a single row of apple leaves just towards the shawl’s edge, this design is ready for your next apple picking adventure!

Skill Level: Intermediate
Size: 35” / 88 cm wide x 61” / 154 cm long, before blocking.
Gauge: 16 dc and 6 rows = 4’’ 10 cm in stitch pattern.

Materials:
Yarn: Garnstudio Drops Alpaca (100% Alpaca; 165 meters/50 grams): Red-purple-3969 (4 balls).
Hook: US size G/6 (4.0 mm).
Notions: Tapestry needle.

Abbreviations: dc2tog: double crochet 2 together; dc3tog: double crochet 3 together; ch sp – chain space.

Special Stitches: Dc2tog, Dc3tog.

Pattern Notes: Macoun is a triangular shawl worked from side to side. The different lace patterns within the piece make it interesting, and the simplicity of the shaping allows for personal adjustments, dependent on yarn and size required.

Thank you!
